“Billy.. Billy!”
“Huh?”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing”
silence..
“When is she leaving?”
“Tomorrow, morning”
“Aren’t you going to send her off?”
“No.. not a chance. There is no point. You don’t understand”
“I..”
“There is no point. I knew it would come to this, things just weren’t meant to be. It’s too late”
“It’s never late”
“No use. Can’t do anything now. I had so many opportunities to tell her, so many. But it’s all over now, what’s done can not be undone. She’s will be gone and there is nothing I can do about it. Don’t tell me anything now, please.”
silence..
“I’ve got to go now. What will you do?”
“Nothing. Nothing

Exhilaration Thursday, Jun 28 2007

I am already deteriorated. It’s noon in hot summer where along with my chums I was hunting for new accommodation. It was ineluctable for us as we had informed the proprietor about vacating. I had ditched breakfast in morning. Ya we loved that word – ‘Ditch’. Frank wouldn’t have lived that word. He applied this all his assignments, internals, debate, project and the outcome was never abominable.

Kody finally called an agency and we saw some dwellings in evening. The house was finalized and decided to shift on weekend. We packed our belongings and started to move in forenoon. Anton, lazy as always delayed in packing. We reached the destination before sun set. After unpack of luggage we had our dinner. And Kody is a nice cook. I assisted him and Anton lying next to TV. I wrote mail to all my friends about the new residence. After finishing my work I went to sleep. Slowly closing my eyes and the dreams are just in front me. I felt the presence of Fiona. And this has become routine every night after she left and I didn’t find any difference in our new place either.

I could hear the CNBC headlines from the neighbors TV, early morning 7 30. It’s Sunday, one peaceful life in the whole week. I went out to collect the news paper and oh my God and I see Fiona, waiting for someone to open the door. ‘What a surprise’. The refulgence of her face was striking my eyes. It was been past 4 years since she left me and there wasn’t a minute change in her. She came in and we had breakfast together. She had got transferred here last month.

Mom and Dad arrived after an hour. I had told them about Fiona before. They were happy to see her. In the noon Fiona decided to go shopping and Mom accompanied her as she was going alone. One hope impinging my mind – how can I convince her not to live me again. She wont I guess. Ya… ‘hope is good thing’.

After Mom and Fiona left, Dad went to meet his old pals, Anton and Kody to Racecourse. I started watching Nickelodeon and I could hear the door bell. It is the second shock of the day. It’s ‘Tristan’. I could see tears in her eyes. I guessed she was in some trouble. Tristan was good friend of mine from childhood. She was very close to me until I found Fiona. She was pretty good looking, charming and innocent girl. She started to explain how much she likes me and had waited for me from long time. I told her Fiona just came back I will be looking forward with her. I tried to convince her but see was weeping.

I got the break as my cell started to vociferate. The caller says she is ‘Sarah’, and she is not able to find my house. I guided her how to reach my place. Oh ya… met her few days back in project meeting. But why the hell she wants to come to my place? I checked my e mails and I can see 2 more gals looking forward to meet me.

Its 2pm in the afternoon and Sarah reached my place. Sarah was astonished to see Tristan but she didn’t ask about that. She tried to convince me to enroll some dance class with her. I was undecided. And Fiona returned from shopping. I introduced Sarah to Fiona. Sarah acted as if she knows me from past many years which made Fiona uncomfortable. Tristan still weeping.

Now wait a sec this is impossible. I feel something wrong. How can this happen?

I opened my eyes and I am in old apartment. Then i realized, Fiona was a good name.
